This interactive workshop explores consent and boundaries through henna, a collaborative and culturally rich art form. Through discussion, reflection, and a guided henna activity, we will explore what consent looks like in everyday life, not just in romantic contexts, but in friendships, family relationships, and community spaces.
Using design choices, touch, and communication as part of the activity, we will practise how to ask, check in, respect boundaries, and re-check. The session will also explore different types of boundaries including physical, emotional, digital, and cultural.
No prior knowledge needed. You are welcome to participate in discussion, the henna activity, or simply observe.
Please note: attendees are responsible for ensuring they are not allergic to henna. Patch tests will be available on the day, and alternative activities will be provided.
