Designed especially for survivors (and their allies), this session will blend physical self-defence techniques with emotional regulation. You’ll learn how to harness heightened awareness safely, respond to real-world threats, and redirect energy in a constructive way. The goal is not just to defend, but to strengthen resilience, enhance well‑being, and support healing.

Not The Only One is a survivor-led initiative, founded in 2018, that offers peer-driven support for people who have experienced sexual violence. Their team, made up entirely of survivors, creates safe, survivor-only spaces, provides consent and bystander training, and advises universities on policies grounded in real lived experience. In this workshop, NTOO’s trauma-aware approach ensures the self-defence training is not only physically useful but also emotionally supportive.
CARE (Consent and Relationships Education) is the SU’s student-led initiative committed to preventing sexual violence on campus and promoting healthy, consensual relationships.
